Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu received Iran's senior nuclear negotiator Said Jalili's assistant Ali Bagheri in Ankara.
ANKARA- Davutoglu's meeting with Iran's deputy nuclear negotiator Bagheri took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
Davutoglu's meeting with Bagheri was closed to the press corps.
Diplomatic sources said that Bagheri provided information to Davutoglu on the talks between the P5+1 countries and Iran in Istanbul.
Davutoglu informed Bagheri that Turkey supported the nuclear negotiations between the P5+1 countries and Iran and that such support would continue.
Davutoglu and Bagheri on Wednesday reached an understanding to hold future nuclear negotiations in Istanbul.
Bagheri on Tuesday met with the representative of P5+1 countries and EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton's assistant Helga Schmid in Istanbul and discussed Tehran's nuclear program.
In an earlier statement released, Ashton's office had said that Bagheri and Schmid would discuss minimizing conflicts and that the two representatives' meeting would be followed by talks between Ashton and Jalili.
