National Security Council (MGK) members discussed the unarmed Turkish military plane which was downed by Syria in international air space on June 22.
ANKARA- Turkey will act with determination against this violence act by conserving all rights under international law, said a statement released after MGK's regular June meeting on Thursday.
MGK members also discussed the recent developments in Syria, and expressed necessity that the bloodshed in Syria must be stopped immediately and a democratic path should be opened under people's legitimate demands.
The statement also attached importance in security, stability and territorial integrity of Iraq, and said that Turkey was closely following the developments in that country.
The political depression which has been continuing for six months in Iraq should be eliminated within the scope of a democratic and constitutional frame, said the statement.
MGK statement also welcomed the Egyptian presidential elections held on June 16 and 17, and said that Turkey would continue to support Egypt's historical change and democratic transformation process.
MGK members also expressed hope that the national congress elections, which were planned to take place in Libya on July 7, would be held in a peaceful atmosphere.
