Turkey and Austria share close relations, says Austrian President Fischer

IZMIR- Speaking to the AA, President Fischer said that relations between Turkey and Austria were progressing in a positive and good way.

"I had a chance to meet Turkish President Abdullah Gul for the fourth time in 1.5 years while in Izmir," Fischer stated.
"I do think that the close relations between our two countries is a very good thing and a pleasing fact," Fischer indicated.

"President Gul and I discussed Europe's problems, the problem of euro and the Syrian issue," Fischer noted.

President Fischer was in Turkey on a two day private trip.
