An exhibition consisting of the works of renowned painter Salvador Dali was opened in Turkish capital of Ankara on Thursday.
ANKARA- The exhibition opened at Ankara's CerModern center and was inaugurated by Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay.
The Salvador Dali exhibition takes place under three categories: "Divine Comedy", "Dinners of Gala" and "Memoires of Surrealism".
The exhibition will remain open until May 20.
Dali was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain on May 11, 1904. Dali was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters. His best-known work, "The Persistence of Memory", was completed in 1931.
Dali's expansive artistic repertoire includes film, sculpture, and photography, in collaboration with a range of artists in a variety of media.
Dali passed away on January 23, 1989.
