Turkish General Staff said on Friday that a Turkish helicopter crashed in Afghanistan, killing 12 Turkish soldiers.
ANKARA- A statement by the General Staff said that the Turkish military helicopter, a Sikorsky, with the Kabul Regional Command assigned under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan crashed at 10.25 a.m. on Friday.
12 Turkish soldiers aboard the helicopter died in the crash, it said. It said the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
