Istanbul to host 15th European Congress on Biotechnology

ANKARA- The Congress will be organized by Biotechnology Association of Turkey and the European Federation of Biotechnology.

Nearly 45 scientists from different countries will give information about the researches they made on cancer types and cancer treatments, renewable energy and medicines during the congress.

Prof. Huseyin Avni Oktem, Chairman of the Organizing Committee & President of Biotechnology Association of Turkey, told AA that they were expecting 1,500 people to participate in the congress.

Noting that struggle against cancer was increasing in Turkey each day, Oktem said that scientists were making million dollars of researches to find cure to those diseases, adding that the congress would focus on those researches.
