Tania Maria to greet Turkish audience in ancient temple

Renowned Brazilian jazz singer Tania Maria will give a concert as part of the 10th Culture & Art Festival in popular resort town of Side in the southern Turkish province of Antalya.

SIDE- The concert will take place at the ancient temple of Apollo on August 28.

Born in Brazil in 1948, Tania Maria has a degree in law. She began playing piano at the age of 7. She released her first album "Apresentamos" in Brazil in 1969. She moved to France in 1971 and earned her international reputation in this country. Tania has recorded 25 albums in her 36-year career and she was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1985 in the category of Best Female Jazz Vocal Performance.
